Pre-Appointment Care
To ensure the best results from your permanent makeup procedure, please follow these guidelines:
- Consultation: You may schedule a consultation to discuss your desired look, ask questions, and review any health concerns.
- Avoid Blood Thinners: For at least 48 hours before your appointment, avoid medications and supplements that can thin your blood, such as:
- Aspirin
- Ibuprofen
- Vitamin E
- Fish oil
- Alcohol
- No Alcohol or Caffeine: Refrain from consuming alcohol and caffeine for at least 24 hours prior to your appointment to minimize sensitivity.
- Skincare Products: Avoid using retinoids, glycolic acids, or any harsh exfoliants on the treatment area for at least one week before your appointment.
- Hydration: Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your appointment to keep your skin hydrated.
- Allergies: If you have a history of allergies, especially to pigments or anesthetics, please inform us during your consultation.
- Tanning: Avoid tanning beds and excessive sun exposure for at least one week prior to your appointment.
- Makeup: Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin on the area being treated.
Post-Appointment Care
Proper aftercare is crucial for optimal healing and results. Please follow these guidelines:
- Keep It Clean: For the first 24 hours, avoid touching the treated area. After that, gently clean with only the products you are given for the treated area.
- Moisturize: Apply a thin layer of the recommended aftercare ointment (provided during your appointment) to keep the area hydrated.
- Avoid Water: For the first 24 hours, avoid getting the area wet (including swimming, saunas, and excessive sweating) to prevent infection and ensure proper healing.
- No Makeup: Do not apply makeup to the treated area for at least 10 days to allow the skin to heal properly.
- Sun Protection: Avoid direct sunlight and tanning beds for at least 4 weeks. Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen once healed.
- Avoid Picking: Do not pick, scratch, or peel the treated area, as this can lead to scarring or loss of pigment.
- Follow-Up Appointment: Schedule your touch-up session [4-6 weeks] after your initial procedure to perfect your look.
- Report Concerns: If you notice excessive redness, swelling, or discharge, please contact us immediately for guidance.
